During the opening game ceremony of the 2001 World Series an unknown photographer captured a picture with his Canon 750 and 300mm lens. The setting was perfect for an award winning photograph. For the first time in the Arizona Diamondbacks history, the players accomplished something that every youth baseball player in America dreams of, reaching the World Series.  A little league pitcher and second baseman, who now found himself behind a camera, as a freelance photographer, while enjoying his new career, snapped one of the most recognizable photos in Arizona Sports History. The 2001 World Series proved to be truly one of the most memorable sporting events ever, as the nation suffered and mourned the victims of the terrible tragedy of 9/11/2001. It was therefore fitting that this photo was titled "Remembering September 11, 2001". Curt Schilling was the Diamondback starter on the mound and recorded a 2-0 shutout against the New York Yankees who were considered the favorite.  The Diamondbacks went on to win the best of seven series and shortly thereafter, the photo was copywritten, published and the photographer decided to share his prize photo with the rest of the world.  Just like any great work of art, its value is determined from an objective point of view and its splendor is in the eye of the beholder.  Little did the photographer know, that thieves were at work planning a scam to steal, counterfeit and mass produce, then distribute this timely work of art. This story is laced with drama, adventure, comedy and "nothing, but the truth."

As I traveled the country, in my search for truth, I told this story over and over again, to the people that I met across the USA, while looking for clues and evidence. Most could not believe that someting like this could happen, when the Constitution of the United States supposedly guarantees Equal Rights and Protection Under The Law for its citizens, including due process. How is it that this system of justice can work for some and not for others? Why must some suffer injustice while others walk "Scott Free" without paying for their crimes? Why do so many law enforcement authorities abuse the rights of people so willinging and callously? How can they come to understand and care about the true feelings of a people that thave been so doggedly battered? I know that the past 8 years has been a trying time for America, but our country has experienced terrorism right here at home for centuries and now is trying to come to grips with this sordid truth. Although our country is experiencing many woes and pressures from enemies within and out, it does not mean that we are without hope and cannot defeat these evil spirit forces. For those who have lost their faith, you can heal, by putting up a defense and returning to civility to regain any lost honor, dignity and respect. Our justice system and its double standard practices must be reformed to ensure that the basic and fundamental rights are granted and equal access to legal representation is available to all citizens, not just for the rich. America's prosecutors,  judges, attorneys and public defenders must ensure that the law is applied fairly to everyone without prejudice. Our judges must not believe that they can pervert the process by giving in to political influence. By obeying and enforcing the laws written more conciously and justly, that precious document known as the Constitution, will be preserved for all of our benefit! Otherwise, it is not worth a hill of beans! Those who misinterpret its truths should not be allowed to represent any law enforcement agency or court or client. If we eliminate the corruption of justice for a bribe and favor and return to the practice of applying ethical standards in the legal field, or any other field for all that matters, then some oppression will end. We all have to learn to love and respect each other more, despite our racial, religious, economic, political and social differences. If we all start practicing more kindness towards one another, by sharing in the fruits of our labors, and try to root out hatred, selfishness and greed from all sectors of our society, then our families and the communities of this nation, will become stronger and reunited. The citizens of our land will become more productive and will prosper, but we cannot do it alone. I believe that there is only one true God and it is to him that America should pray and serve, then the world will become a better place! He sent us a "Great Teacher" to model after, all we have to do is pick up the book daily and read for ourselves the lessons of the Bible, then apply its universal truths, without hypocrisy. This story as noted below, is a work in progress and so am I.

What an exciting finish of the 2008 MLB All Star Game in Yankee Stadium.
